Elliott is included on Record's list of "Madison Countians of Distinction" with the following notation: Draft Board, 1942-1947; President, Alabama Textile Manufacturers Association, 1944 and 1945; President, Alabama Cotton Manufacturers Association, 1943; President, Huntsville Rotary Club, 1938; Huntsville Hospital Board of Control, 1938-1940; Electric Board of Huntsville, 1940-1950; General Manager and Secretary-Treasurer Dallas Manufacturing Company, 1935-1952. - Record

•  In 1935, George S. Elliott became secretary and treasure, and general manager of Dallas Mill. He remained the secretary and treasurer until the mill the time of liquidation in 1949. - HHR
